Italian-Style Nachos

1 thin crust pizza crust, cut into “chip-sized” pieces

Mezzetta California Extra Virgin Olive Oil, for drizzling

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 Tbs Italian seasoning

1 cup Italian sausage crumbles, cooked

3/4 cup Mezzetta Deli-Sliced Hot Cherry Peppers

1/2 cup diced Roma tomatoes

Garnish with fresh torn basil and red pepper flakes


Preheat oven to 425°F.

Toss the pizza crust pieces with some olive oil and lay on a sheet pan. Bake in intervals of 5 minutes, tossing each time, and bake until golden and crispy- about 10-15 minutes.

Remove from oven, sprinkle on the cheese, seasoning, sausage, hot cherry peppers, and tomatoes. Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Remove from oven, top with fresh basil and a pinch of red pepper flakes and serve hot.
