BAKED JALAPEÑO POPPERS

Servings: 20 Poppers

Ingredients

  10 fresh jalapeño peppers

  2.85 oz Jack Link’s® Sriracha Jerky, diced (alt. flavors: Original, Teriyaki, Chicken, or Small Batch® Maple Bacon)

  5 oz cream cheese, softened

  1 1/2 cups jack cheese, grated

  3 Tbs fresh cilantro, chopped

  Salt and pepper to taste

  1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise without removing the tops. Using a spoon, carefully remove the seeds and white membrane.

3. In a mixing bowl, add jerky, cream cheese, jack cheese, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Stir until thoroughly combined.

4. Spoon the mixture into each jalapeño.

5. Liberally coat the top of each filled jalapeño with the breadcrumbs.

6. Place the jalapeños, breadcrumbs-side up on a baking sheet.

7. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the tops are golden brown, the mixture has become soft and gooey, and the jalapeños are tender.
