Ranch Steaks with Citrus-Jalapeno Mojo

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  4 8 oz. ranch steaks

   Salt and pepper to taste

   Citrus-Jalapeno Mojo:

  3 cups orange juice

  1/4 cup lime juice

  1/2 small red onion, minced

   1 jalapeno, minced

  1 Tbs grated orange peel

  4 cloves garlic, minced

  1 tsp cumin seeds

   Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare Citrus-Jalapeno Mojo by combining all mojo ingredients except salt and pepper in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil 15 to 20 minutes or until sauce is reduced to about 1½ cups. Strain and discard solids. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 11 to 14 minutes, turning once. Slice steak. Drizzle with mojo sauce. Serve remaining sauce on the side. Serves 4.
